Daniels Fund announces 2015 Class of Daniels Scholars
239 students selected for Daniels Scholarship Program

DENVER – The Daniels Fund has announced the names of 239 high school seniors from Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming whose exceptional character, leadership, and commitment to the community have earned them a place in the Daniels Scholarship Program.

More than 2,000 students applied for the Daniels Scholarship Program this year. Of the 239 students selected as 2015 Daniels Scholars, 161 are from Colorado, 38 from New Mexico, 15 from Utah, and 25 from Wyoming.

Daniels Scholars may attend any accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States, and the program covers the expenses that remain after all other scholarships and financial aid have been applied.

"We provide Daniels Scholars with resources, encouragement, and support far beyond financial assistance to help them earn a four-year college degree," explained Linda Childears, president and CEO of the Daniels Fund. "This includes personal and professional development, a laptop computer, online tools, and networking opportunities to help them succeed and thrive in life."

With this year's announcement, more than 3,200 students have received the Daniels Scholarship. At any given time, nearly 1,000 Daniels Scholars are attending more than 200 colleges and universities throughout the United States. Since 2000, more than $125M in scholarships has been awarded.

Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need, established the Daniels Fund to provide grants and scholarships in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Utah.

Motivated high school seniors graduating in 2016 are encouraged to visit DanielsFund.org this fall to apply online for the Daniels Scholarship Program.
