Use of Daniels Fund Meeting Space sets new record
More than 33,000 guests attended nearly 1,600 meetings in 2012Tuesday, May 14, 2013
The convenient location, available parking, and welcoming atmosphere of the Meeting Space at the Daniels Fund, available free-of-charge to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, attracted a record number of guests last year. More than 33,000 guests attended nearly 1,600 meetings in 2012, an increase over the record set for use in 2011.
The Daniels Fund, centrally located at 101 Monroe Street in Denver’s Cherry Creek neighborhood, offers five distinctive meeting rooms that accommodate small to large gatherings. The Meeting Space must be reserved in advance and is available Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Meeting space is scheduled up to four months in advance on a first-come first-served basis. While the Daniels Fund strives to accommodate every meeting, the schedule fills up quickly. Generally there is more availability Monday through Thursday in the evenings.
Groups requesting use of the space must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations engaged in charitable activities benefiting the residents of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah or Wyoming or be a public entity operating in those states. The Meeting Space is intended for nonprofit meetings, retreats, and training sessions. The Meeting Space is not available for fundraising, political events, social events, religious ceremonies, or press conferences.
For visitor convenience, parking is also available free-of-charge in our parking lot at 1st Avenue and Madison Street, directly west of the building. To be respectful of our neighbors, visitors should not park in the surrounding residential neighborhood, including on Monroe Street.
