How the Daniels Fund Scholarship has impacted my life:

Value of being a Daniel Scholar:   It is a great honor to be a Daniel Scholar. It shows that I am a dedicated individual that is serious about making a difference in the lives of others.

What I like most about being in college:  The best part about college is learning! The knowledge I obtain is so valuable! All my professors are very knowledgeable about the class they instruct. The professors at Hastings College are serious about empowering their students. Every professor I have is very helpful. As of now, the greatest aspect of my college life is that I have straight A's!!

Greatest Challenge:   The student body at Hastings College isn't welcoming at all. I've experienced some racism here. It is hard to be alone in a new environment where no one is welcoming. Despite the problems I face here, I don't let it faze me at all. My goals are unshakable. I am determined to succeed even if I am alone in Nebraska!

Advice:   To future Daniel Scholars, my advice is to remain dedicated. To all, stand firm with your goals and ambitions. Be passionate in all you do. Know what you want in life. Be aware of the direction your life is headed and what is required of you to be successful. Stay committed to your aspirations. Never give up; persevere through any obstacle you encounter. Challenges you face can be used as stepping stones for personal growth. Learn from your mistakes and keep striving for success. Make your dreams become a reality. Anything is possible.
