How the Daniels Fund Scholarship has impacted my life:

Please describe what it means to you to be a Daniels Scholar:   It's an honor to be able to call myself a Daniels Scholar. I am so thankful for this opportunity and thankful that someone believed in me enough to give me a full ride to college. I know I have people standing behind me who will support me through the next four years, and that is something truly incredible.

What do you like most about being in college?   I love the freedom of making my own choices and learning and growing in who I am.

What has been the greatest challenge so far in college?     For me, the greatest challenge has been learning how to be on my own and not knowing anyone around me. The second greatest challenge has been getting use to college level course work.

What advice would you offer someone who is applying to become a Daniels Scholar?   I would tell them to put their whole heart into the process. Write the essays about something they are passionate about and really take your time. I would also tell them to not be afraid of not making it past each round and keep a positive attitude with each step of the process.
