How the Daniels Fund Scholarship has impacted my life:

Please describe what it means to you to be a Daniels Scholar:    Being a Daniel's Scholar is truly an honor. It opens many opportunities for you. It's always been not only my mom's dream but my dream as well to go to college and make something of myself. I have a 7 week old daughter that I must take care of, she's my inspiration to do well and give her the best life, and be the best role model I can be. I want to someday be another young mother's inspiration and show them that all things are possible.

What do you like most about being in college?    Meeting new people is always fun. I love learning where other people come from and hearing their stories about how they got to where they are now. Also, the challenges that come along with being in college. It shows me how strong I can be.

What has been the greatest challenge so far in college?    Being a student and a mother, I have to focus on school to have a future for us, and also focus on my daughter to show my love to her, along with feeding her and changing diapers!

What advice would you offer someone who is applying to become a Daniels Scholar?    Go for it! Do not let this opportunity pass you up. It's a once in a lifetime chance to have somebody help you become something. You could do many great things and go many great places. Keep strong and keep yourself up. Show everybody what you are made of and be the person who will someday make a difference in someone else's life. It will be a lot of work but have faith, it will take you wherever you want to go!
