How the Daniels Fund Scholarship has impacted my life:

Please describe what it means to you to be a Daniels Scholar:   Being a Daniels Scholar is an honor, an opportunity to go to college that I would not have had, it is a privilege, and a responsibility. As a Daniels Scholar I am determined to always try my best, and live in a way that would make Bill Daniels proud.

What do you like most about being in college?    I love the independence of being in college. It is my responsibility to plan my time wisely, and I have the freedom to make my own decisions. I love learning, and all that I have discovered so far in my college career--academically and personally.

What has been the greatest challenge so far in college?    The first challenge in college was adjusting from high school to college academics. Now, challenges I face include managing my time with homework, sewing projects, interning, and work.  It is important to find a balance with academics and your busy schedule.  Also, to develop effective study habits that work for you!

What advice would you offer someone who is applying to become a Daniels Scholar?    Be your best, and try your hardest. Bill Daniels was a great man, he is offering us an opportunity to change our lives, and one day we can help others do the same!
