How the Daniels Fund Scholarship has impacted my life:

Please describe what it means to you to be a Daniels Scholar:    Being a Daniels Scholar has been one of my utmost accomplishments thus far. It is the greatest feeling in the world to be a part of this "family" and share in the beliefs of Bill Daniels with those around me. It has allowed me to meet so many incredible people along the way and I know that these relationships will last forever. I am so very thankful for Bill Daniels, the organization he created, and all the wonderful people that keep his values and beliefs going on today. Thank you for letting me be a part of it!

What do you like most about being in college?     College is another chapter in my life, and I enjoy knowing that I am moving into that next step that lets me progress further into my studies, career, and relationships. I have enjoyed meeting lots of new people and being able to go through the whole college experience with new friends. I have been liking my classes a lot, and this gets me excited for my future studies and eventually my career!

What has been the greatest challenge so far in college?     My greatest challenge in college so far is just learning what needs to be done in each class for each teacher because they all have different likes, expectations, and ways they like things done. So, I just have to get to know the class and the teacher as an individual so the work I do can be a success.

What advice would you offer someone who is applying to become a Daniels Scholar?   I would tell them to just be themselves and stay true to all the values they hold close to them. Also, read about and get to know Bill Daniels. He was truly an incredible person and it is amazing to learn about his life, beliefs, and all the things he experienced.
