A Daniels Fund Impact Story
| College Attended: West Texas A&M University Major: Sports & Exercise/Secondary Science Education Scholarship Year: 2007 |
Please describe what it means to you to be a Daniels Scholar: Being a Daniels Scholar has put more pressure on me while in college, but in a beneficial way. I have worked harder to succeed and am more motivated to do well.
What do you like most about being in college? I like the freedom and taking responsibilities.
What has been the greatest challenge so far in college? Money is definitely a challenge. That and managing time can be very difficult.
What advice would you offer someone who is applying to become a Daniels Scholar? You have to work hard. It may seem like a walk in the park, but it is not. It definitely makes some aspects of college life (especially financially) easier, but it comes with its own responsibilities and high expectations as a Daniels Scholar.
