How the Daniels Fund Scholarship has impacted my life:

Please describe what it means to you to be a Daniels Scholar:   Representing the Daniels Fund means the world to me.  It is amazing to be a role model to the students at my old high school.  Being a Daniels Scholar makes me feel like I have accomplished many great things while I was in high school.  I would not have been able to go to a University if I had not earned this scholarship.  I feel like all of my hard work has paid off.

What do you like most about being in college?   I love the new people that I have met while I have been in college.  Everyone really wants to make sure that I succeed.  I have met many long term friends.  Even the faculty is extremely helpful.  I really enjoy all of my classes and my fellow classmates.

What has been the greatest challenge so far in college?   The greatest challenge so far for me is being away from home.  It is very difficult for me to be away from my family.  Luckily, I am only an hour drive away, but when I have so many things going on at school, it is hard to find time to go home.  I am thankful that I have good friends at school to make me feel like I am at home.

What advice would you offer someone who is applying to become a Daniels Scholar?   I believe that someone who is applying to become a Daniels Scholar just has to be themselves.  Allow the interviewers to see the real you and let them get to know you.
