How the Daniels Fund Scholarship has impacted my life:

What it means to be a Daniels Scholar:   To me, being a Daniels Scholar means a second chance. Being a first generation college student, I never thought I would be able to go to college because I did not have the money to pay for it. Not having to worry about where I'm going to get the money is a huge relief on me and my family. The Daniels Fund Scholarship gave me the opportunity to look forward to the future so I could give back to my community. Thanks to Bill Daniels and the scholarship committee, I wouldn't be where I am today.

What do you like most about being in college?    The thing I like about being in college is meeting people with different backgrounds and cultures because they are the ones who bring diversity to the campus.

Greatest Challenge:   The greatest challenge in college so far is self-management. It's difficult sometimes to balance school, work, and social activities so having a planner really works for me.

Advice for future Daniels Scholars:    Aim as high as you want to go and keep an open mind to everything around you. There are no limits to your dreams. Believe in yourself and good things will come to you. Daniels Fund will be there to encourage you throughout your journey through life and college. Good Luck!
