How the Daniels Fund Scholarship has impacted my life:

What it means to be a Daniels Scholar:   It means that I had the opportunity to attend a four year university without the worry of being financially capable.  I have had nothing but support from everyone that works at Daniels Fund, and feel that having this extended support system has encouraged me to do well in school and succeed with what my goal is, and that is graduating from school.  Being a Daniels Scholar means that I am in an elite group that not many people can say that they have been a part of, and this is something that I am proud of.  Daniels Fund has not only given me the opportunity to attend school, but they have encouraged me to be as successful as I can be while attending school.

What do you like most about college?  The thing that I like most about college is being around people that share the same interests as me, and also having the opportunities that I would not have had such as; gaining a social network, opportunities at internships, and joining different clubs that are directed at what I would like to do in the future.

Greatest Challenge:   Getting used to being away from home.  Being in a different state and not knowing anyone when I first came to Arizona, and having to break out of my shell to meet new people.

Advice:   Make sure that you take full advantage of everything.  This is such a great opportunity and something that can only benefit you.  Don't take anything for granted and enjoy every moment!
