How this organization is helping make lives better:   Phoenix Multisport’s mission is to foster a supportive, physically active community for individuals who are recovering from alcohol and substance abuse and those that choose to live a sober life. Through pursuits like climbing, hiking, running, swimming, road and mountain biking, yoga, strength training, racing and other activities, the organization helps members develop and maintain the emotional strength they need to stay sober.

Over the next year, the organization expects to reach over 1,500 individuals in recovery with its programs and activities and will provide 600 members with physical activities offered daily, with an average of 22 activities per week.

Impact story:  "I recently discovered your organization when I entered the 14 day in-patient program at West Pines. As I continue my sobriety a day at a time, Phoenix has become a critical component of my program. In addition to participating in the open climbs and strength training sessions at West Pines, my husband and I plan to travel on the multi-day events."  — Kristyn
