Bill Daniels was a remarkable individual who achieved success
through a combination of vision, perseverance and good fortune.
He brought a unique style to all his philanthropic endeavors –
a personal concern and involvement with individuals in need and
the organizations that serve them.
In 1997, he established the Daniels Fund, which operates the
Daniels College Prep and Scholarship Program and the Daniels Fund
Grants Program in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, and on
a limited basis to national programs. When he died in 2000, his
estate transferred to the Fund, making it the largest foundation
in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Bill defined his philanthropic goals for the Daniels Fund in
precise terms in the articles of incorporation. He stipulated
that 70 percent of the Fund’s annual distributions be directed
to the Daniels Fund Grants Program according to the following
allocations: Metro Denver 50%; Colorado 15%; New Mexico 10%; Utah
5%; Wyoming 10%; and National Grants, 10%.

The Daniels Fund Grants team strives to model Bill Daniels’
style of giving. We are here to help and look forward to providing
information and assistance to current and potential grantees.
