Selecting Disabilities as a funding area was one of the many ways Bill Daniels expressed his love and support for his sister Dorothy, who was developmentally disabled. He was aware of the challenges faced by individuals with developmental disabilities. The Daniels Fund honors Bill’s direction to support programs that help the developmentally disabled and their families achieve maximum independence and quality of life. 

Later in life, Bill struggled with profound hearing loss, and he came to personally understand the need to overcome the obstacles that can arise for a person with a physical disability. He was concerned that many people with disabilities are not able to afford the life-altering equipment they need. The Daniels Fund supports programs that provide equipment to enhance the lives of those living with physical challenges.
 

 PROGRAM GOAL:
Assist individuals with physical and developmental disabilities and their families in achieving maximum independence and quality of life.
