Thomas A. Marinkovich

Mr. Marinkovich was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. He obtained a Bachelor of Commercial Science degree in accounting from Seattle University in 1962. After graduation, he joined the Seattle office of Price Waterhouse & Co. He started his career on the Firm’s audit staff, but shortly thereafter, followed his desire to specialize in taxation. In 1970, he transferred to the Portland, Oregon office to become the head of the tax practice. He was admitted as a Partner in Price Waterhouse in 1974 and became the Partner in charge of the Denver, Colorado tax practice in 1978.

While at Price Waterhouse, he gained recognition as an expert in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and partnership taxation. During those years, he was a CPA in Washington, Oregon, and Colorado and a member of various organizations connected with the accounting and tax profession.

In 1980, he resigned from Price Waterhouse and became Chief Financial Officer of Daniels & Associates in Denver, Colorado. In 1981, he became President and Chief Operating Officer of Daniels and all related entities.

Daniels & Associates was the oldest and largest telecommunications brokerage, consulting and service firm in the United States. In addition, it became on of the top 20 multi-system operators (“MSO”) in the cable industry.

As President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Marinkovich was responsible for the daily administration and management of all Daniels divisions including brokerage, investment banking, cable system operations, and paging communications. In addition to his involvement in major acquisitions and syndications, he played a lead roll for the consortium of five major cable companies that acquired all of the Westinghouse (Group W) cable operation in a multi-billion dollar transaction.

Mr. Marinkovich was involved in various cable programming startups while at Daniels including the formation of the country’s largest regional cable TV sports network in Los Angeles, California. In 1988, he coordinated the sale of the Daniels multi-system cable operating company to Untied Artists, Inc. for well in excess of $200,000,000.

After the sale, he and his family moved back to the Northwest where he has invested in real estate, various operating companies and venture capital organizations. He is currently on the Board of Centennial Holdings LLC of Denver, Colorado, the managing partner of the Centennial Funds.
