Brian Deevy is chairman and chief executive officer of RBC Daniels. He is responsible for strategic development
of the firm’s business, which includes mergers and acquisitions,
private equity and debt capital formation, and financial advisory
engagements.
While Mr. Deevy has primary responsibility for the Cable Television
Group, he also ensures that Daniels serves as a catalyst for client
goals across several sectors of the media, Internet, and telecommunications
industries worldwide.
Since joining Daniels in 1981, Mr. Deevy has handled a number
of the cable and telecommunications industries’ most significant
transactions. In just the past three years, he has led Daniels
to a record performance of more than 335 completed transactions
valued at more than $27.3 billion.
During this time, Mr. Deevy has engineered 154 cable transactions
valued at $22.8 billion, making Daniels the most dominant cable
financial advisor in the world, and a pioneer in the highly specialized
arena of tax-free exchanges. In addition to his financial expertise,
Mr. Deevy is recognized as one of the cable industry’s most
prominent leaders, and received the NCTA’s Vanguard Award
to Associates in 1995.
Prior to joining Daniels, Mr. Deevy was a banking officer with
Continental Bank of Chicago. He received a bachelor’s degree
from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of
Business Administration at Dartmouth.
